ABOUT YOUR VISIT

As a patient to our practice, we would like to offer you a warm welcome and our thanks for trusting us with your precious eyesight! To help us provide the best possible care and most efficient use of your time, please bring these items to your appointment:

  • Completed Forms: This information includes information needed to establish your file. Your responses will guide our doctors and staff, and help us to address any significant issues during your visit.
  • Insurance Cards (Medical and Vision Plans): As a free service to you, we will help you learn what benefits may be available to you beforehand and submit your claims to insurance.
  • Eyeglasses: Please bring ALL pairs of eyeglasses you currently use, including prescription or non-prescription reading glasses, sunglasses, etc.
  • Contact Lenses: It is best NOT to wear your current contacts to your appointment. Please bring them in a case, and any carton or lens packets you have that indicate the lens series, power and manufacturer.
  • List of Medications, Including Eye Drops: Please place any eye drops or ointments that you use in a small bag and bring it along with you.

The doctor may need to use drops to dilate your eyes in order to fully evaluate their internal health. This has the effect of temporarily increasing sensitivity to light and causing “fuzzy” vision at a near (reading) distance. Therefore, if you want new eyewear or feel you may need to select new eyewear, please come 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment time in order to review your frame selection options with our experienced, caring optical consultants. Sometimes, having an Optomap retinal scan can take the place of a dilated exam… Ask our receptionist for details!

What to Expect

When you visit our office, you will be warmly welcomed and we can answer any questions you may have about completing the paperwork so that Northside Vision may see you. Our team will work together to evaluate your eyes and provide relevant eye care treatment information, review your vision benefits and payment options, fit you for glasses or contact lenses, and focus on exceeding all of your expectations. If at any time you have questions about the process or your specific health information, please ask.

Everyone was fantastic to deal with. They were very friendly and worked with me when we had some issues with my insurance company. They went above and beyond to help me out. Payment Options

Northside Vision believes in providing the best value for you and your family. We have products and pricing that aims to accommodate all budgets and our office participates in most insurance programs. For patients who have little or no vision insurance coverage, flexible payment programs may be arranged. To learn more about our payment options, please call our office directly.

Our office accepts cash, check, and major debit and credit cards including MasterCard and Visa, as well as Care Credit.

Don’t forget to use your:

  • Flexible Spending Plans
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
  • Medical Savings Accounts (MSA)
  • Cafeteria Plans for most of your eye care needs

All of the above plans can be used for all your eye care and eyewear needs, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, routine office visits and medical office visits.

Care Credit

The Care Credit card is available to help people pay for health care expenses, often with an introductory period that is interest-free. We accept Care Credit for all of our services. To learn more or apply for the card, visit Care Credit here.

Insurance

Since there are so many plans and coverage varies widely, please call us to find out if your plan covers care in our office. Our staff will verify and explain your benefits before your visit at no charge.
